VisionIT President Christine Rice spoke during the Latina Networking and Procurement Breakfast at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s (USHCC) 30th National Convention and shared  her company’s fast-growth story along with her thoughts on the important role Hispanic chambers play in advancing diversity businesses.

“I think that we all can agree that the USHCC is truly one of the most dynamic organizations that a Latina or Latino business person can be a part of,” Rice told the crowd.  “The USHCC for the last 30 years has been at the forefront of helping visionary Hispanic businesses position themselves in the global marketplace.

“We—just like you—are changing the perception of what a Hispanic Business looks like…and one of the reasons we all have been able to do this is because of the tremendous support we receive from the USHCC and our local Hispanic Chambers. They are a critical component to helping us all develop and grow.”

The USHCC since 1979 has worked aggressively to foster economic development and create sustainable prosperity for Hispanics, and the rest of American society.  Over the course of their three decades of advocacy they have been able to implement national programs, develop business relationships and partnerships, and monitor legislation in order to strengthen the position of Hispanics in the marketplace.

VisionIT continues to show its support of fellow minority-owned businesses by being the only Hispanic-owned business to sponsor a portion of the USHCC convention.   VisionIT was the Host Sponsor of the Latina Networking and Procurement Breakfast.  It was part of a larger initiative taking place at the convention called the Latina Leadership Summit.

David Segura, CEO of VisionIT who also attended the conference said, “We are committed to seeing other diversity-owned businesses reach their full potential.  We have been attending this annual conference for years and we find it beneficial in continuing to build strong relationships within the supplier diversity community and the Hispanic Business marketplace.”
