John Beran serves as Senior Advisor for Banking Solutions to VisionIT.
With over 37 years of experience in the field of information systems management, marketing and electronic banking, Beran has been recognized as an outstanding executive and thought leader, earning the Peter J. Kight Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Bank Technology News in 2011. Today, Beran leverages his extensive background to strategically align VisionITs financial and banking solutions with market needs as well as operate as a key advisor and consultant to VisionITs major banking and finance customer base.
Beran joined Comerica in April, 1995 as Executive Vice President and CIO, after serving as President and Chief Executive Office of Money Access Service. He previously served jointly as Senior Vice President of Society Corporations Electronic Payment Services Group and as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Green Machine Network Corporation. John also served as Executive Vice President of BancSystems Association prior to its sale to EDS in 1989.
Among his profession affiliations, Beran is a member of the University Of Dayton School Of Engineering Advisory Council, the BAI Board of Directors and Real Estate One Board of Directors. He previously served as a member of The Clearing House Payments Company Board of Directors, the Banking Industry Technology Secretariat Executive Committee, Unisys Financial Services Board of Advisors, the Financial Services Roundtable, MasterCards Maestro Board of Directors, a Director of VISAs Plus System ATM network, the WTVS Channel 56 (PBS) Board of Directors, the Birmingham Education Foundation Board of Trustees and the Michigan Virtual University Board of Directors.
Beran holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a Masters Degree in Management Science from the University of Dayton.
