Charles O. Bracken is the Senior Advisor of Healthcare Solutions for VisionIT.
With more than 30 years of extensive technology and data management experience, Bracken has been internationally recognized and respected for his excellence in executive leadership in the healthcare industry. Today, Bracken leads the strategy for building solutions that support major hospital systems and health insurance companies while also serving as a senior consultant to VisionITs many healthcare customers.
Bracken has extensive experience managing consulting teams which service hospitals and health systems. He leads teams which build strategic IT plans, implements information systems, and redesigns business workflow. He has structured solutions around all the major hospital information systems vendors including the leading EMR vendors - Cerner, Epic, McKesson, Allscripts, and others.
Brackens most recent project lead was in structuring a team of consultants to implement the EPIC systems in all clients for a medical school in the southeast. Currently he is working on assisting hospitals with staffing their internal IT teams and other major projects.
As the Managing Director for ACS Healthcare Solutions, Bracken managed a global consulting, outsourcing and software business supporting hundreds of hospitals and health systems. He also served as Executive Vice President and member of the board of directors for Superior Consultant Company, Inc., one of the first healthcare implementation and outsourcing consulting firms.
Bracken holds an MBA in Management and BS in Accounting from Wayne State University. He completed the Stanford University, Graduate School of Business, Executive Program for Small Companies. Bracken is actively involved in the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) for African-American IT Leaders and the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE).
